We told you that we were going to be trying out some new stuff on the site and we have been working with our mates at MoreDirt to try and source some great deals on mountain bike gear for you.
As ever we do this kind of stuff in our own style and rather than hitting you with a massive page of deals we are genuinely trying to find only 2 deals per article, hence #twodealsbetter (geddit).
This week we are looking at mountain bike helmets (mainly because McC is shopping for a new lid).
We have found these two below, as ever though if you find a better deal or offer then please feel free to mail it to us on email@example.com or post it in the comments below.
Troy Lee Designs A1 Trail MTB Helmet – was £149.99, offer price £85.99
It doesn’t feel like five minutes since the Troy Lee Designs A1 helmet was first launched but as TLD like to keep their range fresh and up to date the new A1 Trail lid is already upon us.
Constructed to the high standard you would expect from TLD the A1 features a single piece anti-microbial comfort liner which wicks moisture away from the head, keeping you fresh and comfortable from start to finish.
The TLD A1’s triple fit adjustability means that no matter what shape your head is, or what your preferred style of riding is, the A1 will fit perfectly. With the ability to adjust the helmet for use with either glasses or goggles you can now get a helmet that you can use on a steady XC jaunt in your sunnies on one day then hammer down the enduro stages goggled up the next. This new version has a new anchor points for the straps making it an even better fit and even the visor has been redesigned and now features anodised aluminium hardware with a breakaway feature.
Durability and protection can be found in the form of a reinforced poly-carbonate shell with an in-moulded EPS liner that continues down the back and sides for full on protection.
Numerous hours of testing with some of the fastest riders in the world sees the A1 come complete with 8 pressurized intake passages which draw cool air in to the helmet, working its way over your head through channels and then being sucked out through another 8 vacuum vortex outlets, keeping you cool in even the highest heats.
POC Trabec Race MIPS Helmet 2013 – was £190, offer price £113
The Trabec Race MIPS is a well-ventilated in-mould helmet that combines functionality and performance. Designed for single track and enduro riders, it provides the highest degree of protection and ventilation (due to the 16 vents).
Let us know what you think of the twodealsbetter idea and as ever we will bend to your will (we like to please people).
